A sure-fire recipe for success

Do you find yourself always busy: hurrying here, hurrying there, and, at the end of the day, you’ve not achieved much of what you desire?

Do you feel as if you are caught in a revolving door going around and around?

And, when you look at where you are in life, do you think you should be further ahead?

If the foregoing describes you even a bit, you need to stop what you are doing and do some introspection. You need to get a good understanding of where you are and where you want to go.

Once you have made this determination, you have to re-think your strategy. You have to examine what you’ve been doing since it’s obviously not working for you.

Accept this fact and make considered changes. Don’t be a victim and keep doing the same thing over and over. If you do, you will only get the same result you’ve been getting.

You should endeavor to meet people who are accomplished in those areas you’re aspiring to succeed in. Alternatively, go to the library and conduct research on people who’ve succeeded in the same area(s). Emulate them and benefit from the tips they provide.

The rule is "work smart." Persistence breathes success; so don’t give up. Obstacles will arise; however, persevere and you’ll see that they are not insurmountable. You must keep focused on your goal. The more you do, these obstacles will disappear.

Understand that setbacks are a part of your growth. So do not be deterred. Learn from them and keep your eye on the prize.

Follow the preceding advice and your success will be assured.

Make it work for you; you can do it

Do you get the feeling that your goodness has eluded you? If your answer to that question is in the affirmative, understand that you're not alone. Your ship has not sailed. You've to learn to be patient. Your abundance will not come to you on your schedule but on the Universe's.

In the meantime, you must watch what you think, say and do. Thoughts, speech and actions that are not wholesome will only further delay the flow of all that's good to you. Even in these bad economic times, you must hold your chin up despite the temptation to become despondent and harbor negative thoughts.

Refrain from comparing yourself to others. Rather, focus on what you want to achieve and the Universe will see to it that whatever it is comes your way. Do not make the mistake of engaging in acts that are unwholesome to make your dreams come true. Whatever you may gain by such means will not be lasting and will only make your life very stressful. Stress is unhealthy and unspiritual. You don't need it.

Do not spend your life thinking about what you don't have. Think, instead, about what you have. Be appreciative of eveything you have and be grateful. Give thanks to the Universe daily and express your sincere gratitude. Think that you can bring forth whatever you desire. Know that you can make it work for you and you'll see positive results.

Take steps to receive your abundance

The natural inclination for many of us is to “stock up” on stuff when there’s a sale. We like to hoard things. However, such practices are ill-advised if you want to attract the things you want in life. Hoarding keeps us back since it fosters poverty consciousness, thereby preventing our good from flowing to us.

Free flow is the way of nature. Take a river, for example. It flows continuously and effortlessly toward an ocean, a lake, a sea or another river. And it transports various materials as it flows. People who live near a river often salvage many valuable items carried along by the flow.

On the other hand, a stagnant body of water can be a source of environmental hazard.
It is said that stagnation is death.

You must follow the way of nature. So, refrain from clogging up the conduit that’s bringing your good to you. Avoid “stocking up” on things. And give away things you don’t need or haven’t used in a while. Clear the path to receive your abundance!

Use your imagination to create whatever you want

"Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire; you will what you imagine; and at last you create what you will." —George Bernard Shaw

Whatever you see around you is the result of a thought that originated in someone’s mind. Everything that exists in this world was preceded by an imagination of it.

You, too, can create whatever you desire. However, before you can make it happen, you must be able to develop a vivid imagination of whatever you want in all od its fine details. You must be able to see it very clearly in your mind’s eye.

And don’t worry about how whatever you desire will come about. Just be passionate about it and have faith in the process. These requirements represent crucial components for creating the things of your desire.

Practice the foregoing and anticipate the creation in the physical of the things you imagine that you want. However, you will only get positive results if you truly believe it. You will see it when you believe it!

Take charge of your life!

"Would you like me to give you a formula for success? It’s quite simple, really: Double your rate of failure. You are thinking of failure as the enemy of success. But it isn’t at all. You can be discouraged by failure or you can learn from it. So go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can. Because remember that’s where you will find success." –Thomas J. Watson, Sr.

Many people wait around for luck to come their way, and, after many years, they are still waiting. Whereas I do not believe in luck, as such, I’d ask them to take action while they wait for luck to arrive. In fact, a wise man once told me that the more he worked, the luckier he became.

With the foregoing in mind, I’d encourage you take charge of your life now. Do not sit back and leave things to chance or hand control of your life over to someone else. This is your life. It’s real and not a dress rehearsal. So, step up to the plate and take charge. Be the best you can in each inning of your life from this day forward.

I’ve used the letters of the word “Charge” to underscore this point:

C - Commitment and competence: Be committed to whatever you do and endeavor to be the best at what you choose to do. Don’t worry about if you can do it or if you have the skills. If you’ve thought about it you can do it. And know that commitment engenders competence to achieve that which you desire.

H - Honesty, humility and hunger: These are essential attributes for success in life. Be honest in everything you do and be humble while being hungry for the success you want to achieve;

A - Action, asking and attitude: It is very seldom that something constructive happens if you just sit back and do not act. And you must embrace lifelong learning. Learn from others. Ask questions of those who have succeeded doing what you want to do in life. And, develop and attitude by being constantly grateful and thankful to the Universe;

R - Resilience: Bend but never yield. Be determined and thick-skinned. Never lose your focus. Keep your eye on the prize. And do not let failures keep you from achieving your success. Regard them simply as learning experiences on your way to accomplishing what you want;

G - Generosity, golden rule, guts and gut-feeling: There's much power in being generous to your fellow human beings. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." You must have the guts to pursue a project but always follow your gut-feeling; it provides the best guidance; and,

E - Empathy. Have empathy for others. We are all interconnected. Therefore, we are our brothers’ (and sisters’) keepers.

Finally, love what you do; be passionate about it. Blaze the trail, if you must. There's much satisfaction to be gained from taking the path not yet travelled. And never ever accept that it can't be done because someone said so. Rather, prove them wrong.

Let go, and let God

Whatever you do, do it with confidence and honesty with God as your guide. Make it a habit and think how you may serve humankind.

Don't let fear or negativity prevent you from pursuing your goals. Literally countless reasons will enter your mind why you won’t succeed. It is a normal occurrence. Try not to focus on any of them. Instead, think of the present. You can control it. However, you cannot control the things you may fear that might never happen. And always act with determination, love, peace, and clarity.

Never give up; even when it seems the odds are against you achieving the things you desire. However, don’t play God by trying to force things to happen. Rather, make it your business to pray and meditate every day. This practice will enable you to gain the inner calm and stillness that will enhance the clarity in your mind of what you want to achieve. It will help you to “Let go, and let God.” He’s always there to do the things for you that you can’t do.

I learn to be at peace even when there is outer disruption. I aim to be focused and calm. This approach enables me to become one with the ongoing presence and activity of God in me and in the situation at hand. I keep my faith active and strong and I follow the clear God-directed path that leads me to my good and also for the good of all.

It works. Try it for yourself and you’ll receive startling results!

How to get whatever you want

Do you find it difficult attracting whatever you want, especially in way of material things? For example, do you find that monetary wealth eludes you?

There’s no doubt you’ve been told that working hard is the answer to yout problem. However, I’m sure you’ve discovered by now that it’s not the solution.

To attract whatever you want, you must give it away. If you want to attract money, make it a habit of giving away some of the money you have. Do not think that you don’t have lots of money and, therefore, you have to hoard the 'little' you have. Hoarding money promotes a poverty consciousness. It engenders stagnation and prevents growth.

I know it’s easy to say that you’ll give some money to family and friends or to charity when you win the lottery. However, you should be aware that money is present in great abundance. Nature provides an infinite money reservoir that can never be exhausted. When you give money you attract more money from this abundant source. This occurs because nature abhors a vacuum.

When you give away some of your money a space is thereby created that must be filled by a like entity. Therefore, money will flow in effortlessly to fill the void. This is a natural process that should never be impeded. Money is to be kept circulating. That’s why money is called currency. Like current, it is intended to be kept flowing.

In order to achieve your desired end, it’s better to give away money with no strings attached. You should surprise friends or members of your family by sending them some money.

If you prefer, give away money anonymously. Leave a few bills in an elevator, the library or the subway. Or, send money to someone who has suffered a financial setback.

If you practice the foregoing, you will attract so much money into your live you’ll be surprised. Try it and enjoy the feeling it creates within you.
